 | What Does Decriminalised Parking Enforcement (DPE) Involve?
The County Council plays the role of implementing the scheme whilst the Borough or District Council manages the day-to-day running of it.
The Borough or District Councils involved therefore employ Parking Attendants (PAs) and deal with the issuing and assessment of Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs) as well as dealing with parking permits.
The introduction of DPE means that there are more PAs patrolling the streets. They will be using the most up to date technology for assessing and recording contraventions. This therefore means that if you park in the wrong place, or for the wrong period of time, you are more likely to get a ticket. | | |
