Race Equality - Food and Farming
Local and Global
The TIDE Centre (Teachers in Development Education www.tidec.org) launched a new publication 'Food and Farming - Local and Global' which explores how the food we eat ties in to the line of procedures here in the UK and across the globe.
- Case studies in the publication cover:-
- Food, farming and independence.
- Strawberry growning in the Vale of Evesham.
- A Gambian school's garden.
At the launch, 40 delegates from across the West Midlands learnt how the book's colour photographs and photocopyable materials could be used to engage children in this topic.
