Project Transform
Why? When? How?

Project Transform

Project Transform, a partnership project between Coventry City Council, Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council and Warwickshire County Council established to procure a long-term residual waste treatment facility has now closed.

In October 2010, Coventry and Solihull Councils reached the decision to withdraw from the project to procure a new residual waste treatment facility in Coventry. As a result of this the Project Transform Project Board agreed to formally end the project. The decision was made prior to the announcement by Defra that the PFI Credits allocated to the project were being withdrawn as part of the 2010 Comprehensive Spending Review.

All three authorities are still committed to working together on key strategic projects including sustainable waste management.

Project Transform would like to thank everyone who contributed to the project.

The Project Transform website will remain under this domain name until the end of March 2012, when it will be available for reference.
