Warwickshire Geological Conservation Group

The Warwickshire Geological Conservation Group (WGCG) was established in the early 1990's to help conserve sites of geological interest and to increase public awareness of geology, and the need for geological conservation ('geoconservation'). The group is also responsible for selecting RIGS (Regionally Important Geological and Geomorphological Sites) throughout Warwickshire.

The WGCG runs a series of field trips and an evening lecture programme in the winter for members and non-members.
