Judges were impressed with the businesses overall commitment to staff training and development and continuous approach to collecting customer feedback and acting on the results. For example installing custom designed wooden panels on the walls to improve acoustics.

| | Judges also liked the innovative approach to menu planning by themeing café menus around the exhibition programme.
During the mystery visit, judges commented that staff were working well as a team and provided a mature approach to service, making guests feel comfortable and at ease.
As a previous winner in last year’s Best Café/ Tearoom category, it is good to see that Compton Verney is still leading by example and delivering a quality customer focussed service.

Judges were impressed with the overall ambience and sense of theatre created when dining at this restaurant.
The food was first class and the service levels, from the telephone booking, the greeting on arrival, during service and upon departure, were all expertly executed with professionalism and pride. |
