| What is WCVYS Working closely with the Youth & Community Service [YCS] (the General Secretary is a seconded officer), WCVYS acts as an advocate and campaigner for the voluntary youth sector as well as keeping its members fully informed and updated on developments at local, regional and national levels. A group of Trustees are responsible for the everyday running of the charity dividing thier work between four sub-groups - Resources, Finance, Management and Grants. The Grants Panel administers funding on behalf of the the YCS for youth groups and individuals involved in youth work to enhance their work programme and, for adults and senior members, help train them in specialist activities. Young Warwickshire advisies, supports and trains youth workers and youth group managers. During the past three years we have supported and developed special joint work projects with the Connexions Service - managing a project funded by Connexions for joint voluntary youth services work with young peopel Not in Education Employment or Training [NEETS].
