Biodiversity Action Plan

The LBAP Partnership

This partnership of 59 organisations and individuals within the sub-region, chaired by the Warwickshire Wildlife Trust, was formed in 2001 to develop the Warwickshire, Coventry & Solihull Local Biodiversity Action Plan. This large number of members all involved in nature conservation ensures that we are working towards the same priorities. A Conference for the partnership is held each year.

There is a Steering Group within the wider group, of 40 members who meet twice a year to discuss matters referred to them by the LBAP co-ordinator. The Steering Group welcomes the involvement of new organisations and individuals.

A small Monitoring Subgroup of core members of the Steering Group was formed in 2005 to assist the co-ordinator with reporting on the progress of the actions proposed in the individual action plans . In 2007 the group will be helping the co-ordinator to report on progress with the overall objectives in the action plans and to produce the first report on the LBAP as a whole. The co-ordinator is employed and managed by the Warwickshire Wildlife Trust.
