Dear Sir -
I am desired by Henry Clarke to write you a few lines for him. His health has been giving way for some time - and now he is quite prostrate - and wishes that you shd hear of him direct rather than any other way - his complaint is the stoppage of the duct from the stomach to the intestines - always most serious - if not always as I fear in this case it is - fatal - The result is no food passes - but all returns - and so strength gradually fails - he is now very weak. This is a great grief to us all - my sister his wife desires me to say that in the harass & anxiety of the occasion she is sorry you have not been written to before - and that her husband in the gt respect he has for you wd be the last person in the world to offer you any slight- He wishes to be most particularly remembered to you - and tho fully understanding how is heart with all its strength & power shd be given to G is very minute in shewing all consideration to his neighbours-
And I can bear testimony that he always expressed himself as having enjoyed a visit to Griff ---- to present his kind regards to Mrs. Evans & believe me
Yours sincerely
Woodthorpe Robinson
