During July 2008, Warwickshire County Council's Sustainability Unit plans to run an Environmental Art Challenge across the county. Local residents and community groups will be invited to take part in producing art for this event. Through art we hope to communicate with and educate people on the environment, looking at how recent climatic changes have affected the world we live in.
Entries from the general category are on display at Shire Hall, Warwick and will be moving to Stratford Upon Avon Gallery in September. Work created by children under 16 years will be displayed at Whitnash, Rugby and Nuneaton Libraries. As well as hosting the children's exhibition, these venues will also be running talks and workshops on various climate change subjects.
