| Arts Policy: Arts for Warwickshire People | |
| Warwickshire County Council's Arts Policy, Arts for Warwickshire People, was developed by the County Arts Service, in partnership with the educational arts services within the County Council. It is the aim of Warwickshire County Council that: |
'the life of every resident is enhanced by the richness and diversity of the arts and culture and their capacity to transform communities, ensuring the best opportunities for all, including the most vulnerable, across geographic, physical, financial, social and cultural boundaries.' |
The policy sets out the key areas of work for the arts teams across the organisation, with examples of how these areas of work directly benefit Warwickshire residents. |
| Warwickshire County Council arts services covering formal and informal educational settings: Arts in Warwickshire Education: brokered innovative educational partnerships between artists / arts organisations and schools and their communities. Arts in Warwickshire Education no longer functions as a service. County Music Service: delivers county wide opportunities for children and young people across Warwickshire to participate in and attend musical activities in both formal and informal education settings. Integrated Youth Support Services: extends cultural and artistic access and opportunities for young people though the development and support of the arts as an essential element in their personal and social development and their inclusion in a healthy and culturally rich society. Through Warwickshire Youth Arts Network they work to ensure that young people across Warwickshire can fully participate in a wide range of creative arts activity and have a voice in the cultural activity development. |
