School's responsibilities are:
- To define and specify a catering service which meets the needs of the pupils and the school.
- To make arrangements for the catering service to be provided.
- To set the selling price of the meal (or food items) and to determine portion sizes
- To comply with all legislation relating to catering services
- To apply the Government’s Nutritional Standards where applicable
- To provide facilities - tables, chairs and drinks - for pupils who bring their own food to school.
- To monitor the standard of service provided against the service specification.
