Public Consultation Event | ||||
A public consultation event was held prior to submission of the outline planning application for the new Parkway Station. The event was held at the the Stratford- upon- Avon Library and Information Centre, Henley Street, Stratford-upon-Avon. The consultation event ran between Thursday 4th March and Saturday 6th March 2010. In order to raise awareness of the event, a significant publicity campaign was undertaken which included the distribution of an Invitation Letter (PDF - 42 KB) to nearly 1000 local residences and the display of Consultation Posters (PDF - 266 KB) across Stratford-upon-Avon town centre. The event was also publicised via local BBC Television and Radio broadcasts. A total of 320 people visited the consultation over the three day event period. View the Information Boards that were on display at the Public Consultation Event (PDF - 2.5 MB) At the event formal feedback forms were available for people to record their views on the scheme and a total of 67 responses were received by the County Council. These responses were taken into account during the preparation of the outline planning application. The pre- planning application public consultation period ended in April 2011. Outline Planning Permission was granted by Regulatory Committee on the 18th April 2011. However we still welcome your views on the details of the scheme prior to submission of the Reserved Matters planning application.
