The Warwickshire Substance Misuse Services currently provide a range of treatments within the county of Warwickshire to drug-dependent users of services and their carers.

The Community Drug Teams' service provides a range of treatments for people suffering from substance dependency by offering support, information, advice and treatment. Substance-using clients can access treatment through the prescribing clinics at community team bases or in Shared Care clinics set within GP practices.
There are three area teams:
- Rugby CDT which is based at the Orchard Centre, Lower Hillmorton Road, Rugby covering the Rugby and county areas east of Coventry
- Nuneaton and Bedworth CDT based in Coton Road, Nuneaton, covering the county area of North Warwickshire
- South Warwickshire Drugs Advisory Service with CDT's based at Court Street, Leamington Spa, CV31 2BB and Stratford Health Care, Arden Street, Stratford Upon Avon, CV37 6NQ, covering the county areas of South Warwickshire

- Criminal Justice Drug Team
The Criminal Justice Drug Team (CJDT) is a countywide service based in Nuneaton. They work closely with the Police, Probation and Prison Services offering referral and a range of treatment provision to clients entering the criminal justice system. As part of the Government Strategy on 'Tackling Drugs to Build a Better Britain', the Criminal Justice Service centres on the provision of treatment for offenders who are being referred by Police or Probation due to their dependence on, or propensity to use, drugs. The service is commissioned by the Warwickshire Drug and Alcohol Action Team and is provided by the Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust Substance Misuse Services as the lead treatment provider in partnership with the National Probation Services.

- Clinical Psychology Service
The countywide Clinical Psychology Service contributes to the service by the provision of assessments and psychological treatments, and participating in multi-disciplinary/multi-agency care planning.

- Progress 2 Work
This service has been developed to assist clients with a history of drug misuse which disadvantages them in the labour market, to help them enter mainstream employment. The service takes referrals from partner agencies and offers an assessment, key worker and an Employment Action Plan aimed at motivating and helping clients back into the workplace, taking into account the client's individual circumstances e g childcare issues. The service liaises with a range of training and employment initiatives to provide ways into the workplace for clients who are stabilised or exiting treatment. Clients are offered a route back into treatment if required and encouraged to re-enter Progress 2 Work when appropriate.

- Co-Morbidity Service
The Co-Morbidity Service is available to people diagnosed with both substance dependency and severe or acute mental health difficulties. The service provides treatment and an accessible rapid response to a range of client groups in the community. The service works with substance-dependent clients who are diagnosed with mental health issues, as well as offering access to appropriate consultant/medical resources including out of hours and home visit services.

- Counselling/Brief Intervention Service
The counselling/brief intervention service is for people experiencing problems with their recreational or regular use of drugs, such as cannabis; stimulants such as MDMA; amphetamines; and cocaine, but do not need substitute prescribing services. Clients are offered six, structured counselling sessions to help them examine their motivations to stop using, and to learn techniques which may help them with any problems that are causing them to use and abuse drugs. The service is countywide and its main aim is to help people from progressing on to problematic drug use, with the objectives of reducing crime and the problems that this can bring to themselves, their families and communities.

- Needle Exchange/Harm Minimisation
This service offers Needle Exchange facilities through 25 pharmacy outlets in the county. The service also offers information and advice to substance-dependent clients, as well as training and advice on a range of statutory and non-statutory services across the county e g the police and ambulance services.

- Woodleigh Beeches
Woodleigh Beeches centre offers an inpatient, detox and stabilisation/titration facility for people suffering from Drug and Alcohol problems within Warwickshire and the surrounding areas. It offers a short stay facility for client detox as part of an overall, substance misuse, treatment plan. The range of treatment provided within the centre includes: detox; psychological therapies and relapse prevention; complementary therapies; and referral to residential rehabilitation or community outpatient services. The centre also caters for patients suffering from eating disorders.

- Specialist Alcohol Services
As a link with the existing Community Alcohol Service run by the Swanswell Trust within the county, the Substance Misuse Services employ Community Psychiatric Nurses. This service offers specialist advice on treatment and care, as well as a link with the Alcohol Services and Woodleigh Beeches detox centre, in providing assessments and routes into detox for clients suffering with Alcohol dependency.
