Supporting People - The purpose of the support

The purpose of the support

to improve levels of healthier living - to reduce likelihood of hospitalisation and reduce length of stay in hospital;
to make communities safer, reduce offending behaviour, increase safety awareness;
to take part in the community and strengthen communities;
to improve economic well-being.

Other services include a home visit for a short period each week, or an on-site, full-time support worker for a long period of time.
