TELAC – School Admissions
In Warwickshire, Looked After Children are given top priority in the county’s over subscription criteria for the admission of children to school.
When a Looked After Child is applying for entry to a school during the school year, the authority actively encourages schools to offer a place even when this might bring overall numbers above the agreed admission number for that school year.
Carers and social workers approaching a Warwickshire school for a place can seek further advice from the Admissions Service or discuss individual cases with a TELAC Officer. There is also further information available about School Appeals and Pupil and Student Services.
