We aim to provide a quality service, matching interpreter to client by age, gender, religion and cultural background, where possible. The service is fully confidential.
Interpreters will generally hold the Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI) and be included on the National Register of Public Service Interpreters – although this may not be possible in some instances, e.g. for rare languages or dialects. All mental health, legal or highly sensitive cases will use fully qualified interpreters.
Where we are unable to provide interpreters, we will recommend the use of the National Interpreting Service (NIS), a leading provider of over-the-phone interpretation in more than 150 languages, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. NIS Telephone Interpreting service, will contact the client, staff and the interpreter over the telephone so that they are able to have a three way conversation.
