Welcome to Warwickshire County Council

County Record Office
Conservation & Reprographics Unit

The Conservation & Reprographics Unit

The Conservation and Reprographics Unit care for the physical preservation of the collections. Here is a flavour of what they do:
  • they monitor and manage the strong room environment to provide overall long-term protection of all our collections;
  • carry out preventative measures such as packaging records in acid-free boxes, folders and envelopes, polyester sleeves and specialist photographic papers;
  • repair documents using traditional and modern techniques;
  • provide advice on the conservation of documents to other County Council departments and members of the public; contact us if you have a query.
Please note that the conservation department can only do in-house conservation work for the record office and do not offer a commercial service.
