| D4602 Queensway – Leamington Spa: Casualty reduction route safety scheme |
The D4602 Queensway is located on the outskirts of Leamington Spa town centre and links the A452 and the B4087. It provides access to a number of business premises as well as the Shires Retail park located off the roundabout junction with the A452.
This busy road carries a high volume of traffic and recent surveys demonstrated that a high number of vehicles drove in excess of the speed limit. Our investigations showed that there were a significant number of personal injury collisions occurring along Queensway. |
A scheme was implemented to address vehicle speeds.
The scheme consists of:
 Speed cushions
Pedestrian refuges
Improved signage
