 | A Story of Nuneaton DVD
A 16mm film, produced in the late 1960s, by John Bacon and a group of fellow-enthusiasts.
The film begins with footage of the town at that time, and then leads to a family conversation, the son asking "Daddy, why is Nuneaton where it is?"
The film sets out to answer this question, starting in early times, moving through the Romans to Domesday. Much of the film describes the foundation of the Abbey it’s developmentm, and demise in the 16th Century. |
Funding for the project has been provided by Stephen Faulks, who appeared as a child in the film, and Mike Bacon, John’s nephew.
Copies are available at Nuneaton Library, priced £10.00.
