This document identifies how the Education Officer for Race Equality can assist the Children, Young People & Families Directorate to embed race equality into everything it does by using frameworks developed by the Commission for Racial Equality.



Corporate Equalities Group) The Corporate Equalities Group is chaired by David Carter, (Strategic Director for Performance and Development), supported by Arun Kang (Policy Advisor) and includes senior representatives from all WCC Directorates. Its objective is to embed race equality across the employment and service delivery work of all Directorates through using external benchmarking frameworks e.g. The Equality Standard for Local Government, to fulfill the widening national equalities agenda.
RELOG (Race Equality Lead Officer's Group) RELOG consists of WCC departmental Race Equality Officers and Arun Kang. The remit of this group is to help their departments embed race equality through implementing the Race Equality Scheme. It is also a forum which enables practioners to share information about best practice. 2001 Census The Warwickshire County Council Research Unit 2001 Census Theme Report including Religion and Ethnicity in Warwickshire.
