- TIPS!
How
you
can help reduce road casualties, save money and the environment
Always leave plenty of time for your journey.
Always drive at a speed within the limit which is appropriate for the road conditions.
Never use a mobile phone whilst driving - it's dangerous.
Ignore pressure from drivers behind to speed up– let them overtake and get points and a fine – not you!
Drive calmly - hard accelerating causes excess noise, air pollution, wastes fuel and ruins your car.
Not wearing a seatbelt could turn a ‘damage only’ collision into a gruesome tragedy.
Try using 3rd gear in a 30mph limit – it’s more efficient and you have more control.
Remember
– a bad driver is someone who finds keeping to the speed limits difficult and can't control their vehicle at the required speed – statistics show that speeding means you get into trouble quicker and are far more likely to have a crash.
