Flexibus timetables for the five areas of the County
Flexibus is a bus service open to everyone but is particularly helpful to people with mobility problems. These vehicles operate a set route, but if possible can depart from it to collect people with mobility problems from their home.
A trained friendly care assistant is on hand to help passengers on and off the bus, and to assist inside. To help people who find steps difficult or impossible the bus has an electric lift to help passengers on board.
Many people with mobility problems depend on the Flexibus to provide them with the personal freedom to undertake basic things like shopping, going to the bank or post office, without having to rely on family or friends to take them. Flexibus gives you back the independence you once had.
If you live on or near these bus routes and have mobility problems - you don't have to be a wheel chair user - just phone the A&M Group FREEPHONE 0500 21 22 25 before 9am on the day you wish to travel and if it's safe to do so, the bus will pop along and pick you up. It's so easy!
Flexibus has now been operating for over ten years. It is a very popular and successful scheme, which has received recognition from Government as being a shining example of this type of transport. Flexibus was also awarded the 'George Marshall Trophy' by the Warwickshire Association For The Blind in 2001 for its services towards helping the blind and partially sighted.
Flexibus is operated for the County Council in partnership with the A & M Group.
