Rugby Borough Council
Grants to Voluntary and Community Organisations
Revenue grants to local voluntary and community organisations towards one-off projects or for on-going costs. Bids are invited annually in January for funding from the following April.
Rural Development Fund - for projects in rural parts of the borough. Can be used towards one-off projects, improvements or purchases within a Parish but not for running costs. The maximum grant is £10,000 (inc.VAT) depending on the population of the parish. Grant applications are invited once a year, in May (via a press notice) and are made in June.
Capital Partnership Fund - for significant one-off projects, maintenance or improvement schemes or for a larger purchase in the urban area of the borough. The grant is 50% of the estimated or actual costs (the lesser) or up to a maximum of £10,000 (inc.VAT). Bids are invited annually in April each year.
Parish Capital Spending Fund - Only Parish Councils are eligible to apply for this fund. The Parish Capital Spending Fund is a scheme to provide funding for new capital spending schemes in the parished areas of the Borough. It is NOT for on-going maintenance or day to day running expenses. Applications will only be accepted from the Parish Councils and the maximum avalable towards any project will be £50,000.
Building Sustainable Communities Grants - grants of up to £1,000 for renewable energy installations in the Borough. Grants available to householders and community groups. |  | More information:

Sports and Arts Grants - for local sports and arts projects. Grants up to 50% of the total project cost or £1,000, whichever is the greater. Small grants also available for sports coaches and individuals.
Discretionary Rate Relief - village shops - the populationo of the rural settlement must have no more than 3,000 people.

Warwickshire Children's Fund
A total of £2.7m allocated from the DfES for the period 2005-2008. The fund works in partnership with communities and voluntary and statutory providers to overcome disadvantage and ensure children aged 5-13 years reach their full potential. Warwickshire Crimebeat
Funding for groups of young people aged 5-25 to get involved in crime reduction activities and improve community safety. Projects can deal with a range of issues (anti-bullying services, reducing graffiti, reducing the fear of crime, reducing theft etc.) but must demonstrate the lead role young people have taken. The Norton Foundation
Up to £500 for needy individuals aged under 25 living in Birmingham, Coventry and Warwickshire - most applications are made via sponsoring organisations such as social services, schools, probation service, voluntary organisations or CABs. Heart of England Co-operative Society ‘Helping Hearts’ Fund
The Society is giving away all the profits from tobacco sales in its 35 local shops. Local charities, schools, self help groups and other organisations including environmental and other community schemes can apply - as long as they operate within the Society’s trading area. The King Henry VIII Endowed Trust
Makes awards for projects benefitting the community in the Old Borough of Warwick, predominantly the CV34 postcode area. It can support projects in the areas of:
