Preventing young people from getting into trouble and tackling those issues that make it more likely that they will commit a crime or be involved in anti social behaviour can save the public sector millions per year. Building on our experiences Positive about Young People (PaYP) and their partners are committed to providing identified young people with opportunities that have proven impact through direct engagement and assist in the development of life skills, diet and health awareness that ultimately contribute to reduction of anti social behaviour and crime.

Intervention early in a young person’s life is crucial to their economic, educational and health related issues with long term positive outcomes. Positive about Young People’s Early Intervention Programme deliver a number of programmes that offer support to identified ‘high risk’ 5-13 year olds and their families to prevent offending and anti social behaviour.

The programme ensures that these identified young people and their families receive complementary interventions as early as possible that are appropriate to their needs. To ensure effective results, the team work with young people and their families delivering interventions through a number of different means ensuring that they are appropriate to their needs.
