With the success of Ropewalk shopping centre, Nuneaton has recently re-positioned itself as a thriving retail centre and is now in the top 20 retail locations in the Midlands. The town has built on this success and has re-vamped it's outdoor market which brings many more visitors to shop at up to 170 open stalls on the towns pedestrianised streets on Wednesday and Saturday.
However, shopping is not the only thing to see and do as visitors are always made welcome and can quickly discover the rich variety of delights in both family friendly towns. Perhaps most impressive of all, are the breathtaking 1840 Nicholas |
Chamberlaine Almhouses in the centre of Bedworth which, together with the Borough's many award winning parks and gardens and fine late Victorian Buildings, combine to ensure an enjoyable visit to the floral heart of England. The borough boundary signs announce that you're entering George Eliot Country and Warwickshire's literary daughter is celebrated and commemorated in many different ways in the borough. Particularly at her birthplace ,Arbury Hall, and both the Museum and Art Gallery and Library in Nuneaton town centre.
Today the borough has a population of over 120,000 and is continuing to build on it's success and heritage with a huge amount of development and regeneration. |
