Warwickshire will be holding it's very first Food and Drink festival to promote the wealth of excellent local food available throughout the county from it's many excellent restaurants and eateries.
As part of the festival, all participating restaurants, pubs, cafés and teashops in the region will be producing a promotional house menu featuring products produced within 30 miles of the region. This will be on offer throughout the duration of the festival from 28 September - 4 November. That's 6 weeks of fabulous, locally produced, quality food! |

Food and Drink Festival Participating Restaurants
All participating eateries will be putting on a special menu of locally sourced food during the festival.

Smaller Festivals and Events
The Coventry and Warwickshire Food and Drink Festival also comprises of a number of smaller festivals and events - with each area of the county striving to do better than it's neighbours. Full details of these smaller festivals are below, including what they comprise of and when they are. Also don't forget to look out for the many competitions, parades, food markets and food and drink samples available throughout the Coventry and Warwickshire Food & Drink Festival 2007.
1. Leamington Food & Drink Festival 2007 - Sunday 4th November 2007
As part of the Coventry and Warwickshire Food & Drink Festival, Leamington Spa will be holding its own festival on the parade of Leamington Spa on the 4th November between 10am and 5pm. There will be food and wine sampling, bartending and cocktail demonstrations, competitions and entertainment. A Normandy produce market and local farmers market will also be joining the event. BBC Coventry and Warwickshire will be doing live coverage on the day and on the run up to the event.

Competitions during the Leamington Food & Drink Festival 2007!
- SH Jones Wine House - are running a competition to win a Festive Season Special Wine Selection (worth over £100). Simply visit their stand and answer a few questions.
- Cake competition entry form - A cake competition for the day will be organised with some great prizes. Details are still tbc. Please call Helen on 01926 733464 or 07979 506375 or email helen@bighelp.biz.
- Art competition entry form. A food and drink related art competition, sponsored by Castle Galleries has been launched. Winning entries will have their work displayed in the Gallery on November 04th. Paintings should have a ‘Food & Drink’ theme to tie in with the festival. Works must be on a stretched box canvas approximately 9”x 12” or 12”x 16”. There will be prizes for 1st,2nd and 3rd places.
For businesses - message from the Leamington Food & Drink Festival 2007organisers
We are offering local businesses an opportunity to promote and showcase themselves in person and to develop the reputation of Coventry and Warwickshire as a quality place to eat and drink. These include hoteliers, restaurants, wine merchants, and local food outlets from Leamington Spa, Warwick and Kenilworth.
For those who are interested we are happy for you to cook and showcase your signature dishes, offering cooking demonstrations and wine & drink samples to the public. This will be the first year of hopefully many successful festivals to come and as such we are offering a 10x4 covered stall free of charge to local businesses from these areas only, for the 2007 event.
Flyers will be sent out to inform the public, along with radio announcements and other media coverage of the event which is attracting great interest already.
Numbers are limited and bookings will be taken on a first come first served basis.
