Who Pays for Supporting People Support Services: There is no charge to receive support in most services. The only exceptions to this apply to:
Sheltered Housing and Community Alarms If You Receive Housing Benefit: If you receive Housing Benefit then the service is free of charge. If You Do Not Receive Housing Benefit: Even if you do not get Housing Benefit you may still get help in paying your support charge if you have savings of less than £23,250 for a single person or £46,500 for a couple.
