Supporting People
Who pays for Supporting People support services?

If you receive Supporting People services and also receive Housing Benefit, you will not have to pay for the support you receive.

If you receive support from a long term service (over 2 years) you may have to pay for the housing related support you receive. If you receive Housing Benefit then the service will be free. If you have between £22,250 and £13,500 then you may be able to receive all or some of your housing related support charge from Supporting People. Please see the leaflets below or contact the Supporting People team for more information.

Supporting People have agreed a policy about who's support we will pay for and how much we will pay on someones behalf. This is called the Fairer Charging Policy.

Once you have registered your interest with the Supporting People team. An assessment may take place with you and all information will remain confidential The assessment will help to decide whether Supporting People will pay all, part or none of the support costs within the Supporting People service.
