Action Plan

The projects listed in the Transport section of the Action Plan aim to meet the following strategic objective:

"To reduce greenhouse gas emissions resulting from transport (particularly road transport), both through our transport planning function and our own activities."

The following list details the transport projects currently running in Warwickshire. We aim to record the progress of these projects every six months. This progress report document will be held on the Partnership home page under Action Plans, where you can also download the full Action Plan. If you know of any other suitable projects being run by local councils, businesses, community groups or schools, please contact us.

4 Food for Life
  • Establish a 'local food economy' with a greatly reduced dependence on petroleum for the production, packaging and haulage of food.
  • Broker supply links between local farms and community cafes and food co-ops.
  • Promote healthy eating and run activities to increase the use of cafes and co-ops in the most deprived areas.
  • Encourage growing on allotment sites, including bringing currently derelict allotment sites back into use.
  • Local sustainable food seminar.
