The Warwick Words Festival of Literature & Spoken Word

|  | | During the annual literary festival of Warwick Words, the town centre bustles with writers, poets, illustrators, storytellers and performance artists from around the country. All performing their works in historic buildings and venues throughout the town of Warwick.
Part of the festival includes the Adult poetry competition for Warwick Poet Laureate, from which the new Warwick Poet Laureate is appointed until the next year's competition. The Poet Laureate is an honorary role and the winner is commissioned to write poetry about Warwick as well as performing their own work at events throughout the year.
Competition is fierce for the title with many entries received, all of which are an excellent standard. Throughout the years the following poets below have won this prestigious honour. |
