Guide to Reporting Potholes | ||
Small Pothole Delaminating road surface. Typically less than 300mm in diameter and 10-30mm deep. Not hazardous to vehicle traffic. Such defects will be considered for repair/action as part of routine maintenance within 6 months of reporting. | ![]() | |
Medium Pothole Pothole anywhere with the carriageway other than the wheel track. Between 50mm and 100mm in depth on roads where the use of the carriageway is such that the potholes can be considered unsafe. We aim to undertake appropriate action witin 28 days of being reported. | ![]() | |
Large Pothole Pothole anywhere with the carriageway greater than 100mm in depth OR if in the wheel track and greater than 50mm. Typically occurs after periods of heavy rain. We aim to undertake appropriate action within 24 hours of being reported. | ![]() | |
