Wherever possible, we aim to support children and young people with disabilities in their own homes following an assessment.
We will consider a child or young person disabled if they do not have the opportunities that most children and young people have because of severe physical, learning or sensory difficulties (difficulties with their sight, hearing or speech). We use this definition when we assess who can qualify for support.
