It has been acknowledged by some services across Warwickshire and members from the Children and Young People’s Strategic Partnership Board, that the Hear by Right Framework is quite a complex and time consuming assessment. A sub group was established to develop a simpler and easier to understand version of the Hear by Right framework.
The Warwickshire Award for Involvement has amalgamated the seven standards within Hear by Right to four and offers the opportunity for organisations to get awarded for their work and achievement in this area. The awards scheme takes the form of a bronze, silver and gold level which looks more closely at areas such as:
Policy development and inclusion
Training of staff and children and young people
Seeking views
Monitoring and evaluation
The award scheme will be managed by Warwickshire Children’s Fund and assessed by children and young people from across the County.
