Public Transport
Everyone needs to access essential services and employment. Our public transport network is made up of mainstream buses and trains. Some further transport need is met by taxis, coaches and sustainable modes such as cycling and walking.

Community Transport in the Public Transport Network
Community transport is part of the public transport network. It works alongside and in partnership with the above modes.

Accessiblity Planning
Accessibility Planning is about identifying where people may not be able to access essential services and then seeing how this need can be met.

Community Transport in the Local Transport Plan
Community transport is one of the transport modes available to help develop solutions and is integral to Warwickshire’s Local Transport Plan (LTP) in which the Accessibility Strategy is a core strategy

Community Transport with Partners
Community transport works alongside partners to help provide transport solutions for people needing to access healthcare and employment.

Community Transport in the Districts
We work closely with our planning partners, the Boroughs and Districts, to help provide access to shopping and leisure facilities.

Community Transport with Local Authorities
Community transport is involved in providing transport for care services and home-to-school, which are among the statutory duties of the Local Authority

Community Transport and Rural Areas
Community transport is often needed in more sparsely populated and difficult to reach areas, where ordinary bus services may be unviable. Development in Warwickshire has always been with the involvement of our rural partners and has taken account of rural strategy.

Community Transport and Rural Accessiblity
The Warwickshire Rural Access to Services Partnership – WRASP – involves a range of partners working on projects that achieve rural accessibility under three themes: People to Services; Services to People; IT and information services.

Community Transport and Community Values
Community transport in Warwickshire may or may not be provided directly by the community sector. But it is always close to and shares community values. Its development is informed by innovative policy and strategy in related areas. Opposite you will find links to information on just a few of the organisations and interests that share aims and objectives with community transport
