Foreword
Every hour, UK homes produce enough rubbish to fill the Albert Hall. In Warwickshire we recycle just under a third of our rubbish; a great achievement but we can recycle more.
Amazing things can be done with everyday items that we just throw away; glass bottles can be turned into house insulation, plastic bottles can be made into fleece jackets and paper can become part of a road or race track! Most of the items that we throw away can be recycled, reused or prevented in the first place.
I hope this directory provides you with the information you need to recycle more. It highlights where you can recycle in the county and other ways to reduce and re-use.
Your actions as an individual are important and they do make a difference. And when it comes to recycling the possibilities are endless.
