The Single Education Plan
Warwickshire Local Authority has a Single Education Plan (SEP). The SEP has four main priority areas:-
- Raising Standards
- Access and Inclusion
- Excellence
- Community Education.
As part of the work under Access and Inclusion, the LA has an Activity Plan looking at Diversities. The Diversities Activity Plan includes the following Actions which relate to Racial Equality, and which will be managed by Rohini Corfield, LA Race Equality Officer:-
- Tackle racial discrimination and harassment = To encourage the reporting of racial incidents and taking appropriate action following detailed monitoring and evaluation.
- Race relations through formal and informal curriculum = To promote good race relations across the Children, Young People and Families Department and its Educational establishments
