Citizens' Panel

What is the Citizens' Panel?

Warwickshire County Council runs a Citizens’ Panel which is made up of 1,300 local residents. The Panel was set up in 2000 and involves a representative sample of the County population, who have agreed to take part in various consultation activities. This influential group of people from all backgrounds have opportunities to give opinions on council services through questionnaires, focus groups and other activities.

Why have a Citizens' Panel?

Panel members may be consulted on a variety of subjects. The purpose of the Panel is to:
  • Help the Council to prioritise the issues that affect local communities
  • Evaluate how well it is currently providing its services
  • Test awareness of services
  • Identify opportunities for improving services in the future
