All our Quest Seeker events
Fantastic Journeys
Discover the amazing journeys people from the past took. What fantastical things did they see? Make an adventure kit to take on your own fantastical journey; telescope, compass and a map. Everything you need for an adventure! With Warwickshire staff from Heritage Education. Age 4 - 12 £2.50 per child
Mythical Creatures
Artists from Junk Art will help you make amazing creatures form unbelievable recycled materials. If you have been to one of our Doctor Who days, these are the people who help you make those fantastic daleks! So come and see what creature you can create! Age 4 - 12 £2.50 per child
Imagine
Art workshops to capture your imagination with Steve Smallman – the illustrator and author who brought you Monsterlympics last year! Some sessions will be puppet-making with ‘Clockwork Chameleon’ Toria Hills who will help you make your own puppet – dragon, wizard, knight or princess - to use in a puppet show then take away! Age 8 - 13 free but pre-booking required
Design a shield
Every library will have forms available for you to enter our free competition to design your very own shield. Prizes will be awarded in all districts of the county. Closing date 5th September 2009.
Under 5s
- Don’t forget you can read books in your very own Bookcrawl challenge to collect the special certificate that is available over the summer to tie in with the Quest Seekers challenge for older brothers and sisters!
- Rhyme Time sessions will continue in some libraries.
- Monkey Music will be holding sessions in some of the libraries in the South and Warwick districts.
