Warwickshire and Coventry have plenty of excellent venues that host a wide variety of different types of entertainment throughout the year, including large spectacular events and annual festivals to smaller one-off events.

The larger tourist attractions, such as Warwick Castle and the Royal Shakespeare Company, always have a busy events calendar. There are also many annual festivals and carnivals throughout the county that celebrate all that the county has to offer. Listed below are just a selection of upcoming events and festivals that you may be interested in. However please check the links underneath for all events in the location you're interested in.

Global Gathering 2008
Global Gathering, Fri 25th and Sat 26th July 2008. The World's biggest electronic music weekender returns to Long Marston Airfield near Stratford upon Avon. The festival will once again offer extensive campsites for all weekend ticket holders and entertainmant to suit all tastes. Making his exclusive UK outdoor festival appearance will be Kanye West. Summertime in Rugby Town Centre, Weds 23rd July - Thursday 24th August 2008. The six weeks holiday are nearly here and for parents in Rugby who are wondering how to keep the kids entertained, then Rugby Town Centre is the ideal place to head to across the summer period. There will be plenty to see and do with lots of good old fashioned British Holiday favourites, including penny arcades and other childrens' games, Punch & Judy shows, donkey rides, circus plays, craft fairs and much more. Ragley Hall - Aston Villa Soccer School, Mon 4th - Fri 8th August and Mon 18th - Fri 22nd August 2008. Boys and girls between the ages of 5 – 14 years are invited to join Aston Villa’s coaching team at Ragley Hall. A mini-kickers course for 5 to 6 year olds gives children an introduction to football, including the rules of the game, dribbling, shooting, passing and small sided games. Ragley Hall - Rock with Laughter Concert, Sat 9th August 2008. One of Britain’s most familiar comic faces, Lenny Henry, is Master of Ceremonies for this comic packed evening, along with stars such as Jasper Carrott, Jo Brand and Phill Jupitus. Musical delights will further come from 'The Manfreds', the sultry Elkie Brooks, as well as the Blockheads. To then end the night The Bootleg Beatles and their orchestra will be re-creating the sounds of the Fab Four. This is a show with something for everyone. Leamington Spa Food and Drink Festival, Sat 30th and Sun 31st August 2008. The summer of 2008 sees the return of the Food and Drink Festival to Leamington Spa. Now set within the Pump Room Gardens the festival showcases the best food and drink in the region and is packed full of separate smaller events; including cooking demonstrations, food sampling of a wide selection of dishes from around the world, wine sampling with expert advice and the opportunity to buy what you try, farmers markets, cocktail demonstrations and also live music and entertainment!
