Forestry Section

The Forestry section provides a complete "hands on" service to all internal departments of the County Council together with Stratford on Avon District and Town Council, Coventry City Council and all Parish Councils within Warwickshire.

The team comprises a County Forestry Officer, Assistant Forester and a team of foresters who will carry out a full range of tree works. In addition to the physical work, the County Forester will also offer you professional advice on all your tree-related matters, from tree preservation work and disease problems to advice on planting.

This service is charged on an hourly rate but a minimum charge does apply. If however, your tree work is considered to pose a health and safety risk, we may be able to meet the costs of the works from our own funding.

Whilst we are happy to field enquiries relating to all tree matters, Tree Preservation Orders and Maintenance issues are dealt with by your District Council.

Home Woodchipping Service
Another service provided is the Home Woodchipping Service, which is offered at a subsidised rate to Warwickshire householders. The chipping team will call at your home and turn your green garden waste into a green mulch for putting back onto the garden, and we hope that as a result, we will help to reduce the amount of green waste found in the local landfill sites.
