Minerals Core Strategy - Revised Spatial Options Consultation

Warwickshire County Council consulted on its Revised Spatial Options document as part of the Warwickshire County Council Minerals Development Framework. The consultation ran from the 19th February 2009 to 12th May 2009. The consultation period was extended following requests for additional time to comment. The consultation was previously scheduled to run until 3rd April 2009.

The consultation period is now over. All consultation responses are available to view on our Consultation Portal page. The comments received will be taken into account and used to produce the next stage of the plan.

Since the consultation, the Department for Communities and Local Government has written to Waste Planning Authorities advising that Waste Development Frameworks need to be produced as quickly as possible. As the Warwickshire Waste Development Framework is now a priority, it is unlikely that further consultation on the Minerals Development Framework will take place until the Waste Core Strategy has reached the Submission stage. This is unlikely to be before the summer of 2012.

A low resolution PDF version (11.1 MB) is available. Clearer versions of the maps are available using the HTML version.

  • Sites that have been submitted as potential 'strategic sites' for inclusion in the Minerals Core Strategy.

Alongside this, "drop in" sessions were scheduled throughout the consultation period, where consultess could speak to members of the Mineral Planning team. Timetable of these events.
