Welcome to the home page of the
Warwickshire Climate Change Partnership

The Partnership is aimed at everyone who lives, works or just passes through Warwickshire - everyone has a part to play in helping to reduce carbon dioxide emissions across the County.

This will contribute to meeting UK national energy and climate change policy 2009: [Low Carbon Transition Plan (analytical annex) ; the Renewable Energy Strategy (summary); the Low Carbon Industrial Strategy (summary) (evidence); and Low Carbon Transport]; Energy Security in a Changing Word and Warwickshire's Local Area Agreement targets on climate change (NI 186 - reduction in CO2 per capita. The West Midlands Climate Change Office oversee the delivery of the Regional WM Climate Change Action Plan from 2007.

The Partnership is made up of local individuals and organisations from the public, private and voluntary sectors. As at September 2009, 455 people from some 193 organisations across Warwickshire and beyond have signed up to receive our monthly news and events bulletin. Many of these people are committed to effectively reduce carbon dioxide emissions through targeted actions in five key areas: transport; energy; resource efficiency; adaptation; and communications and education.
