Business Plan and Update 2009-2010

Warwickshire Safeguarding Children Board has published the first Annual Update to its Three Year Business Plan for 2008-2011. The first annual update covers the period 2009-2010, and gives details of the progress of the Board's Key Strategic Objectives. It sets out the progress made by each of the subcommittees in implementing their key tasks.

The WSCB Chair's Introduction locates all these areas of work within the context of the major developments in safeguarding that have followed Lord Laming's Review of Child Protection in England (March 2009) and the government's response.

The 2008-2011 business plan identifies the Boards Key Strategic Objectives:
  • Review all Child Deaths In Warwickshire
  • Ensure the highest Standards of Safe Recruitment Practice across all agencies providing services for children
  • Preventing Unintentional Injury in Children
  • Reducing the Incidence of Missing Children
  • Defining Thresholds for Professional Intervention
