Young Journalist Competition
As part of the Local Democracy Campaign 2007 we invited young people aged 10 - 19 to submit a written article, video or audio report tackling the issue of the environment.
Over 50 entries were received on subjects including climate change, recycling, graffiti, pollution and even the destruction of the rainforest!
For the first time this year, as well as entering a written article, young people also had the option of submitting an audio or video report.
The winners of the competition, chosen from 3 age categories, were decided by a panel of 3 County Councillors:
- Cllr John Burton, Portfolio Holder for Schools;
- Cllr Jill Dill-Russell;
- and Cllr Richard Grant, Chair of the Children, Young People and Families Overview and Scrutiny Committee.
