| Warwickshire County Council is the Highway Authority for the districts within Warwickshire and holds information about the status and extents of the highway (excluding trunk roads, motorways). |

Queries relating to the status or extent of the highways and the proximity of traffic or road schemes may be requested through a Personal Search Enquiry.
In accordance with the 1980 Highways Act and Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 the List of Streets and the Definitive Map, complete with Statement, will be now be freely available for public inspection in the Barrack Street Library in Warwick from the 13th September 2006. No appointments will be necessary and the opening hours for the building are: |

If you require further search information on a property, a new service will be in place as from 16th June 2006, which will provide information on:
- Maintenance of Roads (inc Section 38 where applicable)
- Road Schemes (within 200m)
- Traffic Schemes (within 200m)
- Public Rights of Way
- Stopping up of Roads/Footways
- Compulsory Purchase
- Village Greens & Common Land
- Highways Extent.

The service is chargeable in the following manner:

- For one question, excluding extents: £10
- For each subsequent question: £5
- For a comprehensive search: (all questions listed above - excluding extents): £23
- Highway Extent (width of Highway) query there is a charge of £60. For Highway Extents of greater than 200m there is a charge of £60 per 200m of road.

Search requests should be accompanied by a cheque made payable to: Warwickshire County Council.
Emailed or faxed forms without a supporting cheque will not be responded to.
Search responses will be provided within 2 working days provided request received within the Council's opening hours as set out above.
