Clerks' Accreditation
A new programme was introduced from January 2007 that enabled clerks to show the quality of their work against the high standards of a well-established competency framework. We were delighted that in December our first eight clerks received their certificates.
There is now an established standard that shows what the highest quality of clerking looks like, and we would encourage any clerk in Warwickshire to think about joining the programme.
It has been operating in several authorities across the south of England since 2002, and is validated externally through ISCG (Information for School and College Governors).
A clerk will need to gain the support of their school to undertake the programme, the cost of which is £250, for subscribing schools, and £450 for non-subscribers.
The next submission date is in June 2008.

Please contact Governor Development for further information.
