The Stratford Greenway
The Greenway is a five mile section of what was the old Honeybourne railway line, closed in 1976. The route has been developed by Warwickshire County Council since 1989, working in partnership with Sustrans, to produce a high quality surfaced path suitable for cyclists, walkers and wheelchair users. With its views of the Cotswolds, this is an ideal and safe, traffic free environment for everyone. When cycling on the Greenway, you may need to negotiate kissing gates. Carriages Cafe can be found in Milcote Picnic Area. Facilities Available Picnic areas at Seven Meadows, Stannals Bridge. Paths & trails (320 KB), including circular returns to car parks. Cycling - a 10 mile return cycle ride which is traffic free. Information points at Stratford, Milcote and Long Marston. Separate permissive bridlepath for horse riders from Milcote to Long Marston (2½ miles). Easy walking access to/from Stratford town centre (1 mile).
