FED UP WITH ABANDONED CARS?

What are we doing next?

The Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service (WFRS) Business Development Team will be issuing a new Car Clear contract for local vehicle removal contractors to tender for. After conducting a review and research into the issues associated with abandoned vehicles and removal WFRS has led the development of a new abandoned vehicle scheme, which combines the two current shcemes into one holistic scheme.

Also during the research phase it became evident that vehicles removed via Car Clear are worth between £250-£500 as scrap metal and second hand parts. Currently, four private sector organisations have expressed an interest in tendering for the contract on a shared profit basis.
