Warwickshire's Quality Frameworks
What frameworks are in place to support the implementation of consultation and participation in Warwickshire?
Warwickshire County Council has a corporate consultation database, which holds information on corporate and departmental consultations plus all results. This is also used by our partner organisations and is available to members of the public via our consultation web pages. The new "Alert Facility" will allow members of the public to subscribe to consultations of interest to them by choosing from a list of subjects. When a consultation on this subject is undertaken, they are sent an email telling them how to get involved.
The County Council has developed consultation web pages, which gives information on current consultations via the consultation database, has interactive surveys, and also gives results of corporate and departmental consultation. The results of consultation are also included in the Warwickshire View, a quarterly publication, which is delivered to every household in the County.
Guidance leaflets are also available for staff on a variety of topics e.g.
Consultation Checklist
,
Using the Citizens' Panel
,
Undertaking Surveys
,
Consulting with Young People
and
Reaching Everyone
. These can also be obtained by calling 01926 736124.
Providers in Warwickshire are also working hard to ensure children, young people and parents/carers are actively involved in decision making. The Children and Young People’s County Participation Group are encouraging this work through the sharing of best practice and developments that set out to secure and sustain improvements in this area.
