Warwickshire's Third Local Transport Plan (LTP3)

Warwickshire's Second Local Transport Plan (LTP) was published in April 2006. This is currently being reviewed and Warwickshire's Third Local Transport Plan will be published in April 2011.

The Local Transport Plan sets out the transport strategy for Warwickshire and outlines a programme of transport schemes and initiatives to be delivered over the short, medium & longer term. Targets are set so that progress towards meeting the strategy objectives can be measured. It covers all modes of transport - including walking, cycling, public transport, car based travel and freight - and the effect of transport on the economy, environment and social inclusion.

We will publish a series of Newsletters to keep you up to date with how the preparation of the Warwickshire LTP3 is progressing.

LTP3 - 1st Stage of Public Consultation - Issues and Priorities
The Transport Planning Team carried out an 'Issues and Priorities' consultation in late Summer 2009, public involvement was via local Community Forums. Detailed information about your local Community Forum, including when and where they are held can be found on the Community Forum webpages.

In addition, a wider group of people and organisations (e.g Train Operating Companies, Bus Operators, the Environment Agency etc) have been contacted directly and asked to give us their views in relation to the development of the Local Transport Plan.

You can view the results of this initial consultation below: There will be two further stages of consultation during the development of LTP3, as outlined below:
  • Stage 2: Agreeing preferred options and a strategy to deal with the goals and issues identified (Jan - March 2009). Further details about how you can participate in stage 2 of the consultation are available in the Winter 2009 LTP3 Newsletter (PDF - 162 KB)
  • Stage 3: Commenting on the draft document (Spring 2010).
