Geology
Three Ammonites
Warwickshire has journeyed across the face of the Earth over the last 600 million years. This is due to 'plate tectonics' - the theory that the Earth is covered by vast rocky plates, slowly moving over the molten core of the Earth's interior.

On its journey, Warwickshire has accumulated evidence for the environments and climate zones through which it has passed - the rocks, minerals and fossils within Warwickshire Museum's geological displays and collections.
